Holiday Hours

University Ridge and our Cross Country Skiing Trails are Closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, and New Years Day.

Skiing at the Ridge

University Ridge derives its name from the landscape features left by the last retreating glacier. The course sits on the terminal moraine, where the Wisconsin Glacier stopped, forming the backbone of the ridge that separates the land into groups of rolling hills and valleys. A perfect place to build a golf course, but also a perfect place for Cross Country skiing! There are 6 kilometers of trails that wind through part of the back nine and link up with the Thomas Zimmer Cross Country Running Course. All trails are groomed for skate and classic skiing if the conditions are right.

Current Conditions

During the ski season, we update trail conditions on a regular basis. You can find current trail conditions on the MadNorSki website.
